Rouge is the women’s talk show for women - both young and old.  Not just a chat-fest, the series focuses on themes and trends concerning Singaporean women (and men) in each episode, taking viewers on a trip that will inspire and educate.

 

Hosted by Eunice Olsen, Rouge is a mix of celebrity interviews, performances by guest artistes, lifestyle tips and real life stories that will touch hearts and change lives. Be a part of Rouge – it’s red hot!

Episode 1: Women who “Never say Die”

 

Rouge’s debut episode pays tribute to women of true strength and fortitude.  The Pink Paddlers tell a story of struggle, survival and courage under fire in the face of breast cancer. Find out why they’re called the Pink Paddlers and how they’ve found strength and support with each other. Get involved in the tale of Denise Phua – school supervisor of Pathlight School, Member of Parliament and full-time volunteer – as she tells us why she left the corporate world to learn all she could about autism. Plus, meet the Singapore’s very first Mount Everest Women’s team as they share their hopes and aspirations.

 

Episode 2: Happily Ever After

 

Every relationship has its ups and downs, but how does one overcome them? Come join us on Rouge as we invite couples from all walks of life to share with us the struggles and triumphs of their relationships, their touching stories and their take on what makes a relationship. Plus – tired of eating at the same old places and haven’t the slightest clue on where to bring your date? Eat your heart out as we bring you to restaurants with a difference.

 

Episode 3: Clued in on Cervical Cancer

Every year, nearly 200 women are diagnosed and about 100 die from cervical cancer. It is the 6th most common cancer in Singapore. What are the symptoms and the causes? What should you do if you find out you have it? Join our special guests this week for the answers – a surgeon gives out the ABCs on the disease while cervical cancer survivors share their experiences and struggles, and give hope to those still battling this disease. Also, discover the wealth of organic food here in Singapore as we take you around in search of some organic delicacies.

Episode 4: Cheap and Good

 

Are you feeling the strain on your purse strings? Fear no more for in this special 30 min episode, Rouge takes you shopping on a dime. Follow our celebrity guests as they show you how to save on food and fashion and pick up tips from a financial advisor on issues like credit and spending.

 

Episode 5: A Date with Destiny?

 

With our hectic schedules these days, can people find any time to find love in Singapore?  In this day and age, speed dating and online dating seem to be attractive options to find that one true love, but what are the successes and pitfalls of these dating services? And special guest Colbie Caillat, a Californian singer song-writer, performs on Rouge.

 

Episode 6: Love on a Leash

 

What is furry, cute and cuddly? They are none other than our beloved animal friends! Join us this week on Rouge as we find out how dogs bring joy into the lives of those in need! Former Miss Singapore Universe winner and vet Cheryl Tan tells all about her job – the pets, the pet owners, and the perils of her profession! Also, feeling hungry but can’t bear to leave your pet at home? Thanks to several innovative restaurateurs, now you and your pet can indulge in fine cuisine together.

 

Episode 7: Can you save the world?

What are you doing to save the world? This week on Rouge, we say “we can” to saving the environment, helping the poor and the disabled. The Naked Hermit Crabs take us in search of marine life around Singapore, and social entrepreneur Lois Ng tells us why she started a business to help the disabled. Plus, Class 95 deejay Vernetta Lopez, who’s President of One Singapore, and Micheal Switow, co-founder of One Singapore, talk to us about how to make poverty history.  

Episode 8: For Your Eyes Only

Keep an eye out for this special episode where we find out all about lasik surgery. Dr Marc Tay from the Lasik Surgery Clinic covers FAQs such as who’s suitable for lasik, how safe it is, and the complications that can occur during surgery. Lasik patient Siti Zubaidah talks about her most nerve-wracking moment, and for those who want to know what the operation is like, watch out for our exclusive footage. Plus, 2 lucky viewers get a star makeover from celebrity stylist Greg O, with special emphasis on the eyes; and Rouge checks out a spectacles shop that is a blast from the past.

Episode 9: Weighing the Issue

Losing weight – the modern day society’s obsession. What do people go through to lose weight, and is the obsession with weight loss only a physical problem? Actress and theatre director Beatrice Chia-Richmond describes what she went through as a former sufferer of anorexia nervosa and bulimia. Dr Ben Tan of the Singapore Sports Medicine Clinic outlines a weight management programme that enables patients to undergo a lifestyle change, and the former national sailor also talks about some of the fallacies of losing weight, and whether things like slimming patches and pills work!

 Episode 10: Rouge Mothers’ Day Special

It’s Mothers’ day! We meet up with former TV presenter turned career woman, Diana Ser and find out how she dealt with post natal blues. Also, catch Debbie Gibson and Julia Abueva, the stars of “Superhero Diaries”, a new musical by Toy Factory Productions here in Singapore. Find out who won the Rouge special Mothers’ day spa treat and watch Eunice team up with 8 year old singing prodigy Connie Talbot, to perform a tribute for all mothers.

Episode 11: Fright Night

What are you afraid of? Fiona Xie, lead actress of Kelvin Tong’s Rule #1 gives us her take on horror flicks and ghosts. Join Eunice as she makes a trip to two of Singapore’s spookiest haunts with the Singapore Paranormal Investigators. And En Bloc actor Darren Lim comes face to face with his most dreaded fear on Rouge…

Episode 12: Mars vs. Venus (Round 1)

Are female drivers worse than male drivers? What are some of the things that women do that baffle men? Rouge puts The Flying Dutchman, Glenn Ong, and Tay Ping Hui in the hot seat in our two-part Rouge special. See how the guys fare when they come clean about their likes and dislikes, complaints and confusion on all things female.

Episode 13: Mars vs. Venus (Round 2)

Join Patricia Mok, Ivy-Singh Lim and Michelle Chong for rip-roaring fun as they strike back for womankind in the second part of the Rouge two-part special.  In this final episode, the girls get loud and feisty when they reveal their love-hate relationship with boys.
