It was a night of eye candy idols and freaks at SuperBand 2 LIVE show on Monday...

 

  

杂叭琅 – I have seen better 杂叭琅 but Monday’s performance was not your best form, not enough time spent together to harness that rapport? Bad fashion sense. Must work harder and find the unique voice together – too clean, too expected, very old church-choir’s style of singing…with season 1's singing sensation Juz-B still fresh in the minds of SuperBand viewers, you have to do alot more than what you gave us on Monday. 

 

  

异世界 –You will need to get out of the box. Image is one thing but singing…still room for improvement. You have the look but you seriously need to improve on your singing.

 

  

肥皂 sounded good on Monday but lead singer’s diction was obviously bad. No excuses even if you ain’t Chinese…watch out for the diction. I think some gals in 杂叭琅 find the guy in tie 'cute'...

 

 

Synpathy – gosh…the lead cha-po singer was so bad and she couldn’t sing slow song at all (it easily exposed her as a lousy singer)! I would have eliminated her from the audition round if she was in Campus SuperStar. One advise: pick faster songs which mask your weak vocal. Or buck up. Did I hear the lead singer correctly when they interviewed her about what she was going to do about the band and she said “我教他们” ? She needs someone to 教她 first to sing better before she can 教 others lah...

 

  

三月 lead singer is good but her fashion sense is very ‘obiang’ (very auntie). She should move away from the OL look and more into Amei’s style of a rock chick image. Her band is too safe. This is a top 5 potential band if they manage to pick up better tips along the way…from the sound as a band to imaging...

 

  

兔子 weird look is a good start but bear in mind one thing – novelty will wear out and true singing will remain as the main sustaining factor. The 许冠英 looking girl will have to buck up in singing…can go more fun and kuso...what's there to loose anyway...

 

  

大风吹 could have been better. Not enough fun. Maybe being the 1st to start off was too much pressure. I expect a better 大风吹 next round.

 

 

As for 蒲公英, it wasn’t a surprise you were eliminated. It was obvious 蒲公英 and Synpathy were the worst of all bands at round 1.

Next Monday’s remaining 8 bands will be in a better position to improve over the week after watching last night’s show.

 

樱 (aka Sakura) – will have no problem with their image but the choice of a FIR song? 小龙你太看得起yourself… unless you have a big vocal, FIR’s song will expose your less than perfect vocal power.

 

 

伍个人- the 清新学院教会派, a lot of people like you. But I wasn’t impressed with your performance at IMM – it was just OK.. Have fun, break the mold and surprise everyone.

 

 

森林贴 the 实力偶像 lead singer must have a good band to back you up. I hear one of your members backed out due to differences? To sail all the way to the Grand Final, you will need strong rapport to create the special sound of 森林贴. You are still my Top 5 potential. Very lucky to have a strong lead vocalist...

 

 

翼旋风 – your band showed alot of confidence but I am going to shake you up a little here (forget about those fans’ screaming at TPY or IMM). The lead singer has to work triple hard and the TV theatre recording will have no mercy on your singing. Your pitch is not stable, dear...

 

C! Star – are you as slick a dance group as Soul in SuperBand 1? If not, you may be the next 蒲公英 or Glamour (remember the eliminated all gals dance/singing group in season 1?)…

 

 

Screamm – does the choice of a fanstastic song 歌曲：神奇（原唱者：孙燕姿）= an Arabic looking and sounding band? Think and innovate with a touch of oriental mythic. Don't just sing it as it is...

 

二做剧 歌曲：结果咧 (原唱者：大嘴巴) is a smart choice. With slick dance steps and good vocal (don’t embarrass your teacher 方钟桦老师 who placed his bets on you two to win him fame leh), I expect to see you again.

 

Dreamfactory – judges may comment about your band sounding like a pro-band performing in a lounge. Do something to avoid being labeled a lounge band. Think harder now...forget about babysitting for the time being...

 

There must be something good about the bands this season with a much higher viewership registered consistently (almost double) as compared to season 1. With a larger than usual group of audience watching you, please work harder and do not disappoint. Learn from your mistakes, practice a lot and evolve. Watch your own singing on TV because unlike singing on stage, you can hear every single mistake and off-pitch tone on TV.
